  22. This is basically saying AT should turn the Amiga into an Intel PC
  23. clone. The day AT does such a thing, I'll be off. It's bad
  24. enough that the CBM demise cost us the development of new
  25. custom chips (although I doubt they'd be much use in
  26. this day and age since about every PC uses specialised
  27. chips too..).

  31. Certainly not a run-of-the-mill x86 clone. I'm glad AT took a
  32. different route. The PowerPC chips are both powerful and
  33. reasonably future-proof through IBM/Motorola support and
  34. multiprocessing abilities. And to keep in with tradition,
  35. there's at least a hint of "Motorola" involved.
